I should point out that none of these cars are for sale or ever will be. Restorations should be for gifts or for personal satisfaction. I have bought faked redlines when I was just beginning to collect and I was very upset when I figured out that I had been had. The worst one was a beautiful spectraflame red Gremlin Grinder. Of course, there was never such a car made... That was minor in comparison to someone trying to sell a repro Olds 442 or purple Cord as an original. That kind of fraud could ruin collecting redlines. Okay enough of my views. Unfortunately I did not get pics of the cars before I sent them in to the REDLINE BODYSHOP. Update!! Jeff gave up the website, mainly due to the enormous amount of email he received asking for customizing tips. He still does restorations, though.
The first one is a purple Custom Firebird.
The second one is a pink Custom AMX. The blemishes under the paint were flaws in the zinc coating applied by Mattel.
The last one is my favorite, a purple Classic Cord. I have a better top somewhere, but it has been misplaced.
Restorations are not for everyone, but I enjoy mine tremendously.
