Ordering from me:
The first thing that must happen is that we agree on a price for the items you want. You email me telling me exactly what you want. If I only have one of something, I try to put it on hold as soon as possible. Then, I email you with a price on the item(s) you asked about with shipping. Once you confirm my quote by email , you send me a check or MO. Please note that I now am set up for credit card payments via PayPal. See the link at the bottom of the page for details. My shipping address is:
Jeff Karcher
P. O. Box 40
Cairo, Ohio 45820
I now use the PO Box because of security. Please don't be afraid of using a PO Box. I ship items out the next day after your payment arrives (unless your check number is very low and is for a large amount). When you send your payment, please include the following info: your name, address, email address and a list of what you ordered. This helps my tired memory cells and prevents unwanted delays. I won't mention names, but several people have sent me cash as payment. Please don't do that. While I like money, and the Post Office has not lost anything yet (knocking on the table), there is a possibility that your letter could become lost! We would have a problem then. I usually ship by Priority Mail and include the shipping in my email price quote. Once you receive your order, check it over thoroughly. Let me know if you have any questions about what you received. If you are unhappy, I will gladly refund your purchase price. All you would lose is the cost of shipping it back to me.
Trading:
There
are only a few minor points here that should be common to all traders.
Make sure you both know exactly what you are getting and in what condition.
Be honest! If you are unhappy with what is sent, politely ask to trade
back or come up with another solution. Pack your box so that the contents
do not get damaged. If they do, expect to get your damaged goods back!
Both parties should agree to ship at the same time, if they are sure of
each other. If you are uncomfortable trading, then let the party know and
ask for references. No one should get upset if people ask for references.
If you have not traded before, offer to send your package first if the
other party has doubts. If neither of you have traded before, you will
have to play it by ear... You could also ask someone you trust, if they
have dealt with the person before. I believe everyone is basically honest
and wants to do the right thing. I have only heard of (not experienced!
(knocking on the table again))
2, maybe 3, instances where someone was taken and the deal was not made
right eventually. Whatever happens, keep it fun!
